In a departure from my previous work, Sleeping Beauty was a full-length ballet that featured a cast of nearly 100 dancers. In combining my prior ballet and theatrical experience, I worked extensively on characterisation while also remaining true to the traditional choreography. Visually I wanted to create a production that reflected its fairy-tale origins: bright, whimsical, and full of exhuberant energy.
